Hurricane Bill

bill-vis-rgb-2

This morning we awoke to our first hurricane of the season. Hurricane Bill is tracking to the west-northwest at 16 mph with winds near 90 mph. Bill is predicted to become a major hurricane by Wednesday. The computer models are still in agreement as to the short-term future track, however they are starting to trend westward as of late.

Ana was downgraded to a tropical depression. The National Hurricane Center is no longer issuing advisories on this system. Regeneration is possible so don’t count Ana out yet.

Tropical Storm Claudette made landfall at 1:15 am near Fort Walton Beach, FL. Claudette had 50 mph winds upon landfall.

Located way out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Ana is predicted to become a hurricane on Monday and head toward our general direction by the 20th reaching category 2 strength. Not far behind Ana is 90L which could become Bill in the next 24 hours. We got our impact windows installed just in time.
